About The Position
For over 60 years, World Market has searched the globe for design inspiration, emerging trends, and time-honored handicrafts, to bring stylish home décor, quality furniture, thoughtful gifts, and one of the largest assortments of international foods, beverages, and candy. World Market is a national specialty retailer founded in San Francisco in 1958, operating over 240 stores across the country and an ecommerce site. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including customer service and making the shopping experience fun and memorable for customers. The mission is to provide a spirited shopping environment where customers can discover great quality and great value in an ever-changing, unique marketplace.
Requirements
- A can-do attitude and commitment to contributing to a collaborative, open minded, adaptable, honest, and respectful culture.
- Excellent communication & time management skills.
- Ability to initiate a conversation.
- Minimum Age 16 years.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

- Retail experience a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Share your passion and knowledge for our products and help customers find the perfect “anything.”
- Checkout customer in store and buy online pick up in store purchases.
- Maintain merchandising, pricing, signing and sales floor replenishment standards.
- Participate in processing freight and truck unload as needed.
- Contribute to a safe shopping environment.
