About The Position

The Pain Sales Associate is responsible for attaining sales goals and objectives determined within the assigned sales team and territory. This position will drive sales growth through communication and in-person interactions with current and prospective customers regarding the distributed products. They will support the sales team primarily through surgical case setup, training of processing staff on our instrumentation, logistics of instruments and implants, and case coverage. They are also responsible for assignments delegated by the Sales Team Lead and the Sales Manager, which are not limited to the following essential responsibilities.

Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of customers and their requirements.
  • Clinically proficient in anatomy and willing to work within a medical clinic.
  • Ability to become technically proficient with the designated portfolio of products.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence others.
  • The ability to handle multiple daily telephone calls, texts, and emails in a positive and proficient manner.
  • Ability to build effective relationships.
  • Demonstrates critical and creative thinking, especially when resolving problems, as well as the ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability.
  • Self-motivated and capable of exceeding in a team environment.
  • Possesses exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft 365, and the willingness to learn new software.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • I preferred 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or collections.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, as needed, including weekend(s) and evening(s).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Medicare accreditation status requires its employees in close physical contact with patients (Direct Care) to maintain certain immunizations, health screenings and related training, criminal and motor vehicle records, and valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Displays ownership of the full cycle of a sale, the sales quota, and a surgeon list.
  • Provides products for patients and coordinates and executes the delivery and utilization of the device.
  • Manages the logistics of sets and implants with the surgery schedule for day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Provides surgical case coverage support within the assigned sales team to include training surgeons and hospital staff on proper servicing of devices and ensuring that proper instruments and implants are available and ready for a case prior to its onset.
  • Build strong relationships with providers and clinical staff using clinical proficiency and business acumen. Utilizes this process to further develop strong clinical and product knowledge critical to future growth in sales.
  • Works collaboratively with the team leader and other sales representatives to build, implement, and execute the growth plan for the assigned area.
  • Collects all necessary information to submit the orders to the correct distributor brand for billing.
  • Provides education to surgeons and clinical staff on proper documentation required and remote therapeutic opportunities.
  • Assists with planning, coordinating, and executing local educational and sales events intended to augment the business and help to deliver assigned sales goals.
  • Takes initiative through projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
  • Maintains strict adherence to privacy expectations for customers (HIPAA), employees, and the company. This might mean maintaining certifications.
