About The Position

Blue Ops is a fast-growing defense and maritime technology company building next-generation autonomous Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) for military, government, and commercial clients. Our mission is to deliver rugged, reliable, American-built maritime platforms that protect warfighters, strengthen national security, and transform the future of naval operations. We are expanding our West Palm Beach team and seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate with strong marine industry knowledge and exceptional organizational skills to support the growth of our USV division. The Sales Associate will play a critical role in driving customer engagement, lead development, and sales operations for our USV product line. This is an onsite role supporting the Sales Director and engineering teams, acting as a professional and technical bridge between customers and the company. The ideal candidate has previous sales experience, a marine background (either in marine sales, boating, shipyards, or marine service), and is highly organized with excellent communication skills. Military experience—especially Navy, Coast Guard, or Marine Corps—is strongly preferred given the nature of our customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years sales experience, preferably in marine, maritime equipment, defense, or technical products.
  • Strong understanding of boats, marine systems, or shipyard service operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military customers, engineers, and executives.
  • CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Ability to work onsite in West Palm Beach full-time.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for customer meetings or demos.

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience (Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Army or other branches working with maritime systems).
  • Experience selling complex technical products or solutions.
  • Experience working with government customers or DoD procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of COLREGS, small-craft operations, maritime safety, or autonomous vessel technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end sales cycle for Blue Ops’ USV platforms, from lead qualification to contract execution.
  • Manage inbound customer inquiries, maintain CRM data, and track active opportunities.
  • Coordinate customer demos, sea trials, trade shows, and facility visits.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, quoting, customer briefings, and follow-up communications.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of USV capabilities, marine systems, sensors, autonomy, and mission profiles.
  • Act as liaison between customers, engineering teams, and leadership to ensure accurate technical communication.
  • Maintain organized documentation, sales metrics, and reporting for leadership.
  • Build long-term relationships with defense organizations, maritime agencies, and commercial marine operators.
  • Represent Blue Ops professionally in all customer interactions, both in-person and remote.
