About The Position

As a Guest Services Sales Associate at Wild Rivers Water Park, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring every visitor enjoys a seamless and memorable experience. You’ll actively engage with guests by selling tickets, recommending seasonal passes, and assisting with retail needs. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 15 years of age or older.
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear and concise information.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult or stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work in various areas of the park as assigned.
  • You must be able to wear the required uniform and adhere to the dress code.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Sales & POS experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with enthusiasm and positivity, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about park tickets, seasonal passes, and available promotions.
  • Upsell seasonal passes by informing guests about benefits and special offers.
  • Assist guests with any inquiries regarding park services, events, and amenities.
  • Address guest concerns or issues promptly, ensuring a resolution that exceeds expectations.
  • Always maintain an approachable and professional demeanor.
  • Accurately process ticket sales and upsell guests on seasonal passes.
  • Ensure that guests are aware of any discounts or promotions applicable to their ticket purchases.
  • Confirm and verify the guest season pass tier for potential discounts.
  • Keep track of all transactions, ensuring accuracy in pricing, receipts, and change.
  • Assist guests in selecting and purchasing items from the retail shop (e.g., Aqua Cases, Pucker Powder, park merchandise).
  • Maintain an organized and clean retail space, restocking items as necessary.
  • Follow proper retail procedures, including handling damaged or returned goods according to store policy (No Refunds, No Returns, No Exchanges).
  • Help guests with their purchases and offer recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Ensure that all merchandise is accurately priced and displayed.
  • Process credit cards, and cashless transactions using the park’s POS system.
  • Set up and manage guest accounts for cashless spending, ensuring all guests understand how the system works.
  • Securely handle credit card transactions, ensuring all financial protocols are followed.
  • Engage with guests to promote the benefits of seasonal passes and encourage upgrades.
  • Be personable and approachable in your upselling approach to ensure guests are informed without feeling pressured.
  • Follow all Guest Services and Retail Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding guest interactions, merchandise handling, and sales transactions.
  • Adhere to the No Refunds, No Returns, No Exchanges policy, clearly communicating this to each guest at the point of sale.
  • Ensure all safety and cleanliness standards are maintained in the retail space and ticketing areas.
  • Perform opening and closing duties for retail and ticketing areas, including setup, cleanup, and inventory management.
  • Roll out and bring in retail items as required, ensuring that the workspace is organized and presentable for guests.
  • Attends all required training and pre-shift meetings.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with guests, team members, and supervisors to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience.
  • Performs other duties or special projects assigned to support business needs.
