We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hearth Sales Associate to join our team at The Fireplace People in Marmora, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to break into the sales/showroom industry with no prior experience necessary. As the Hearth Sales Associate, you will be the face of our store and will be responsible for creating a positive and memorable experience for all our customers. You will have the opportunity to learn about our high-quality products and help customers find the perfect product for their needs. We will teach you the product, you must be able to learn and convey the information to customers. We are open Monday through Saturday. Customer interaction and basic showroom responsibilities included. We will invest in the training of candidates who show enthusiasm and offer great customer service. The Fireplace People has been family owned and operated since 1975, and continues to offer exceptional service to families and businesses in Marmora and West Berlin, New Jersey. At The Fireplace People, we offer the largest display of wood, electric, and gas fireplaces for both indoor and outdoor displays. Come into our Marmora or West Berlin location to discover over 50 gas burning and wood fireplace displays. We have over 25 burning gas logs, more than 35 stoves and an array of related products!

Requirements

  • Polite and personable demeanor
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Proven record of building customer relationships
  • U.S. work authorization and valid Driver’s License
  • Saturdays are a must

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet customers as they enter the showroom
  • Provide knowledgeable and helpful advice on products based on customer inquiries
  • Create customer profiles and update them accordingly for future product recommendations
  • Receive payments and process transactions accurately
  • Manage the inventory levels on the showroom floor
