The Sales Associate will assist customers with purchasing merchandise. This role involves greeting and interacting with customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and demonstrating and explaining available merchandise. The associate will select and suggest options suitable for the customer's needs, emphasize product features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders. Responsibilities also include retrieving merchandise from the sales floor and/or yard, placing special orders, and building and maintaining customer relationships by entering data into a computer database. The Sales Associate will assist in resolving customer complaints, operate the cash register accurately using various methods, accept payments, and process returns and exchanges according to store policy. Additionally, the role involves assisting with stocking, restocking, front-and-facing products on shelves, and general housekeeping. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
