About The Position
The Sales Associate will assist customers with purchasing merchandise. This role involves greeting and interacting with customers, consulting with them to understand their needs and preferences, and demonstrating available merchandise. The Sales Associate will emphasize product features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders. They will also retrieve desired merchandise from the sales floor and/or yard, place special orders when necessary, and build and maintain customer relationships by entering new customer data into a computer database. Additionally, the Sales Associate will assist customers in resolving complaints, operate the cash register, process returns and exchanges, and assist with stocking and housekeeping duties.
