Requirements

  • Preferred proven experience in plumbing or a related field, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and components.
  • Prior sales experience, particularly in a retail or hardware setting, is highly desirable.
  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing products and industry trends.
  • Ability to troubleshoot plumbing-related issues and provide solutions.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to understand their plumbing needs and provide tailored recommendations on products and solutions.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of plumbing products, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, water heaters, and other related items.
  • Drive sales by effectively presenting and upselling plumbing products, addressing customer inquiries, and converting leads into purchases.
  • Provide expert advice and troubleshooting support to customers, helping them make informed decisions and resolve any issues they may encounter.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage product displays, and ensure that the store is well-stocked with popular and high demand plumbing items.
  • Assist in training new sales associates on plumbing products and sales techniques, contributing to a knowledgeable and effective team.
  • Follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and build long-term relationships.
