About The Position

The Sales Associate at Rack Room Shoes is responsible for providing excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, and maintaining store presentation standards. This part-time role involves processing sales transactions, promoting company initiatives, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with customers and employees.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and practice the company's service standards with each customer.
• Meet sales and work goals as directed by store management.
• Lead team members by example in work accuracy and completeness.
• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness of service standards.
• Promote the company rewards program and other business initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping and receiving merchandise.
