About The Position

As part of a team, works with store management to achieve established goals and provide exceptional customer services. Assist with job training and mentorship for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, autism, acquired brain injury or other unique challenges.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with coworkers and supported individuals and read fluently.
Successful completion of all state and Agency mandated trainings required upon hire.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to teach and model occupational tasks.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greets customers and provides information on sales items; informs customers of the Agency’s mission.
Performs transactions utilizing a cash register, computer or credit card machine.
Prices products and performs regular inventory checks.
Prepares items for sale including small repairs and cleaning.
Maintains clean and arranged sales floor for displaying items.
Reviews items to be considered for donation or sale.
Researches items to determine authenticity and pricing.
In collaboration with Job Coaches and Vocational leadership, provides job training and mentorship for the individuals we serve.
Serves as mandated reporter for suspected cases of abuse and/or neglect to the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC).
Performs additional duties, as assigned.
