About The Position

The Sales Associate position at Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is a part-time role focused on ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of the retail store. This includes securing corporate assets, enhancing customer relations, selling donated goods, and managing cash register operations to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities. Under the direct supervision of the Store Manager or designee, the Sales Associate will be responsible for customer service, cash register sales, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting customers, bagging/wrapping merchandise, displaying merchandise, cleaning the cash wrap area, counters, and front of the store, hanging, stocking shelves, and rotating merchandise.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• 6 months cash register experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain facility security and cleanliness.
• Bag and wrap merchandise for customers.
• Display merchandise attractively in the store.
• Clean and maintain the cash wrap area and front of the store.
