About The Position

In this role, you are responsible for selling, fitting and dispensing eyewear to customers. As the Keyholder, you are also responsible for opening and closing the store and ensuring proper store procedures and policies are followed when store management is not on duty. You will meet National Vision's sales and company objectives, adhere to National Vision’s Code of Conduct to ensure a professional and productive environment for associates, and work to bring National Vision’s Mission, Vision, and Values to life by fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for associates and customers. Additionally, you will assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to customers, perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses, educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care, maintain accurate and organized patient records, notify customers when orders are ready or of any delays, assist customers with picking out eyewear, answer and forward incoming phone calls, maintain cleanliness of all equipment and workstations, ensure inventory control and loss prevention procedures are followed, and maintain visual merchandising according to Brand and Company Standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ years related experience or training in retail/customer service preferred.
  • Strong selling skills aimed at meeting both the store's and self-sales targets.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred in some locations.
  • Ability to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to customers.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities
