The Sales Representative II is responsible for driving outbound and online sales across MonkeySports products, with a primary focus on their specialty category (e.g., hockey, goalie, baseball/softball, or lacrosse) while beginning to learn and assist with sales in additional categories. This role takes ownership of customer orders and meetings in their core category and supports more complex, multi-item, or multi-category opportunities as they develop. This is a mid-level sales role with increased responsibility for revenue generation, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.

Requirements

  • 1+ year inside sales or customer engagement experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one MonkeySports product category.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and assist with sales in additional categories.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet high call, email, and outreach volumes daily.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities at once.
  • Attention to detail in documenting customer interactions and processing orders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to new and existing customers via phone, email, SMS, and chat.
  • Take customer orders and meetings primarily within their specialty category, including quoting, sizing, and product selection.
  • Convert inbound and outbound leads into successful sales opportunities.
  • Begin to learn and assist with sales in other MonkeySports categories, supporting multi-category orders and cross-selling when appropriate.
  • Maximize revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and recommending complementary products.
  • Assist in moving aged or promotional inventory as directed by Sales leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with repeat and higher-value customers in their specialty category.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information on products, pricing, promotions, and availability.
  • Support more complex orders and assist customers with multi-item or multi-category needs.
  • Escalate large-scale, custom, or highly complex opportunities to the Sales Supervisor or Sales Manager as appropriate.
  • Execute campaigns and promotions assigned by Sales leadership within their category and, as needed, across other categories.
  • Follow established scripts, playbooks, and outreach strategies while adapting them to customer needs.
  • Share customer insights, trends, and feedback with the sales team.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Accurately document all sales activity, quotes, orders, and customer interactions in the company CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales activity and revenue targets.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical sales standards.
  • Provide feedback on customer responses, product trends, and sales opportunities to the Sales Supervisor.
  • Support advanced outreach programs and targeted contact lists within and beyond their primary category.
  • Track and manage follow-up schedules for open quotes and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Sales Admin to ensure accurate order processing and timely fulfillment.
  • Participate in product knowledge training for additional categories.
