About The Position

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Guest Experience Specialists to join our team. This dual-focused role combines consultative sales with essential operational and visual merchandising tasks. You'll work in a fast-paced outlet/showroom, helping customers find the perfect home furnishings while also ensuring the outlet/showroom is well-maintained and organized. This position is ideal for energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment. This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and move objects up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail or commission-based sales experience.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a friendly, low-pressure manner, building rapport to understand their needs and guide them through the sales process.
  • Sell according to the “Bob’s Way”
  • Involve Store Management in the sales process to help overcome customer objections and assist with closing the sale.
  • Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and respectful demeanor in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and key metric targets (e.g., Conversion, Goof, BWtP, Acima).
  • Maintain an expert-level knowledge of all Bob’s Discount Furniture products, pricing, and policies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing effort to maintain the store's appearance, including straightening, light cleaning, and identifying damaged merchandise.
  • Perform operational tasks such as pricing and tagging merchandise, assisting with assembly, loading guests and moving/relocating products on the outlet/showroom floor.
  • Collaborate with store management and teammates to improve sales performance and maintain outlet/showroom standards.
  • Actively assist in conducting inventory and staging the outlet/showroom for new merchandise in accordance with visual guidelines.
  • Utilize digital tools and point-of-sale systems to manage sales and track customer orders.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and procedures of Bob’s Discount Furniture.
  • Attend and participate constructively in all scheduled meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Arrive at work on scheduled days, on time, in proper attire and work scheduled shift. This includes working all weekends and major holidays, unless specified otherwise by management.
