About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. This role involves various selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing information and assistance. The associate is expected to support world-class customer service, assist customers in buying decisions by identifying needs and making product recommendations, and promote company programs like CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick up. Key duties include ensuring accurate completion of 4473 Forms, demonstrating products, organizing and maintaining merchandise at the gun counter, replenishing shelves according to merchandising guidelines, and staying knowledgeable about products and advertised sales. The position also requires assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in Retail
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
  • Knowledge in ATF Federal and State Regulations
  • Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition
  • GCA (Gun Control Act)
  • Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise.
  • Perform various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance and direction to customers.
  • Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by: Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, Making product recommendations based off of this analysis, Promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB membership, VOC and IN Store Pick up.
  • Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Obtain the ability to demonstrate product to customers.
  • Organize and maintain Merchandise within the retail Store for Sales at Gun Counter Responsibility.
  • Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
  • Remain product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training.
  • Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signing.
  • Assist with Seasonal Floor merchandise moves.
  • Keep work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
