About The Position

The position involves adding to the computer all payments received, such as payments received on delivery, mail payments, and customers coming into the store. The employee will be responsible for the cash drawer, handling customer inquiries, taking customer orders, and verifying references. A significant part of the workload, approximately 40%, will focus on increasing sales to customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• One (1) year of experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a pleasant and professional manner, directing calls to the appropriate person.
• Responsible for sales to customers, including matching customers to merchandise, taking customer order forms, verifying orders, and setting up delivery times.
• Create and maintain a file folder for each customer with up-to-date information.
• Complete Rental (lease) Agreements and enter information into the computer.
• Ensure deliveries are ready at least one hour prior to delivery time and assist in preparing delivery routing.
• Maintain returned merchandise in a clean and ready state within 48 hours of return.
• Ensure cleanliness in the showroom and that all products are properly price tagged and working.
• Spend the first two hours of each day on showroom appearance, condition, cleanliness, and pricing.
• Ensure all pricing is in accordance with company guidelines.
• Understand and maintain advertising programs and hand billing programs.
• Follow up on deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction within three days.
