About The Position

Chronicle Books is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide sales support to our Mass Market business. The Mass Market team sells to national accounts and distributors, including Target, Walmart, Warehouse Clubs , Airports, Grocery and more. The Sales Assistant works very closely with the Associate Director of Mass Market Sales and supports the entire sales cycle.

Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

Responsibilities

Manage Mass Market account purchase orders
Work with operations to ensure adherence to vendor routing guidelines
Conduct follow-up regarding shipments
Work directly with accounts
Coordinate pack-up configurations
Track purchase orders
Communicate with contacts at key accounts
Interact and communicate with inter-company contacts
Create PowerPoint presentations and Excel grids
Manage Account submission requests
Create and maintain frontlist, seasonal, and promotional title set-ups
Coordinate distribution of sales materials including mockups
Maintain Sales call calendars
Work with the Mass Account Manager and Operations to manage and maintain sufficient inventory for key titles on account planograms
Create sales analyses using vendor portals
