About The Position

Russell Landscape is seeking a Sales Arborist – Business Development to drive growth for our tree care and arboriculture services throughout the Metro Atlanta market. This role combines technical arboriculture knowledge with client development, helping commercial, municipal, and institutional clients manage tree health, safety, and long-term landscape value. The Sales Arborist will identify new opportunities, support existing maintenance clients, and serve as a trusted advisor on tree care solutions, including pruning, removals, risk mitigation, and plant health care programs. This position works closely with Maintenance Account Managers, estimating, and operations teams to deliver solutions that align arboricultural best practices with Russell Landscape’s operational capabilities.

Requirements

  • ISA Certified Arborist preferred (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 3+ years of arboriculture, tree care consulting, or arborist sales experience
  • Experience developing new client relationships and growing revenue
  • Knowledge of tree biology, pruning standards, and plant health care programs
  • Strong communication and consultative selling skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Metro Atlanta area
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Develop new tree care and arboriculture business across the Metro Atlanta market
  • Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, municipalities, and institutional clients
  • Identify tree care opportunities within existing Russell Landscape maintenance accounts
  • Conduct tree assessments and identify safety risks or maintenance needs
  • Recommend services including pruning, removals, plant health care, cabling, bracing, and preservation
  • Prepare and present professional proposals for tree care services
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and track opportunities through CRM systems
  • Partner with operations and estimating teams to ensure service delivery and competitive pricing
  • Participate in job walkthroughs and follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction
