About The Position

We are looking for students to join Bernstein's premier Equity Distribution platform as part of our Sales and Trading Intern Program in New York. Interns should have an interest in sales/marketing, individual stocks and data analytics. This is a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the world of global institutional equity sales, trading, and investor access. As part of this 8-week rotational program you will: · Gain exposure and hands-on experience in equity products by rotating through cash trading, investor access, and equity research sales, working with best-in-class senior staff and industry experts. · Interact daily with salespeople, sales traders, sector traders, and industry specialists who influence key decisions with institutional clients including mutual funds, hedge funds, and advisors managing pensions and endowments. · Have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution by synthesizing real-time assessments of market moving events and contributing to our distribution group's overall production. · Read and review our research to gain a comprehensive overview of a wide range of industries and companies under coverage from our top-ranked Research Analysts. · Develop client interaction and business presentation skills by: o shadowing senior professionals o conducting write ups o participating in mock-meetings o presenting a stock pitch for evaluation o assisting with event scheduling o contributing to investor targeting analysis o competing in a trading simulation We make a strong commitment to career development, and give you opportunities to rapidly gain visibility and incremental responsibility.
