As a Sales & Service Rep you will deliver quality service and insurance recommendations to current and prospective Markel customers. This is a combined service and sales role with the expectation that sales vs. service responsibilities will be split based on business needs. All sales leads are provided and there is no outbound cold calling. Requirements

  • This position requires a Property & Casualty Insurance license
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus!
  • 1 or more years of prior customer service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated job stability and attendance records
  • Solid computer, grammar and multi-tasking skills
  • Comfort with a high-volume service center.
  • Must have Property & Casualty license to work remote outside of Markel office locations. Markel locations are Milwaukee, WI., Omaha, NE., Glen Allen VA., Henderson NV. If located near Markel office location, Hybrid work schedule is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work diligently to find resolution to customer concerns and escalate to appropriate level when necessary.
  • Convey information efficiently, effectively, and appropriately to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Strive for first call resolution to provide “best in class” service.
  • Sales & Service Representatives are required to stay current and knowledgeable of all procedures to ensure department standards and guidelines are meet, which include Schedule Adherence, Quality Assurance, First Contact Resolution, Average Talk Time, Average Handle Time, Average Speed of Answer and Coding
