Did you know that the Stark County Park District is responsible for maintaining over 100 miles of trail, 8,000+ acres of land and over 1,200 acres of lakes, ponds, and reservoirs? All of this land and water means plenty of things to do for our community year-round but even more so during the month of April through October. We are currently seeking extra help for this season in form of a responsive, independent individual to work as a part-time, seasonal Sales and Service Assistant. Purpose: The sales & service assistant will set up and tear down requests to execute the patrons desired vision and goal for reservations at rented facilities throughout the Park District at the direction of the Enterprises Supervisor. Maintains and enhances Park District's facilities by performing the highest standard of maintenance, safety and service to the public. Essential Functions: Duties include setups and tear downs as well as adhoc requests for reservations throughout the park district. Responsible for fulfilling customer requests including tenants of the park district. This includes, but not limited to set up tables, chairs, dance floor, lighting, I.T. equipment, etc. Ensure exterior of rented facility is visually pleasing in terms of cleanliness and landscaping (curb appeal) Removes trash and recycling daily from all assigned locations including offices, parking lots and other specified locations. Utilizes Park provided vehicles to travel between various park destinations as assigned. Take down and store equipment following rental. Responsible for facilities maintenance duties including custodial work and general upkeep of buildings and grounds, as well as operation of equipment pertaining to floor maintenance. Occasional event bartending duties, as needed. (Note: This is a non-tipped position) Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks served. Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service. Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs. Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive. Effectively interacts with park patrons and manages situations involving patron concerns appropriately and provides excellent customer service at all times. All other duties as assigned
