About The Position

The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager at Graphic Packaging International plays a vital role in ensuring alignment between various departments such as Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain. This position is responsible for overseeing the S&OP process, leading cultural changes within the organization, and developing tools to enhance the effectiveness of the S&OP program. The S&OP Manager will report to the Director of Sales & Operations Planning and will lead a small team of analysts to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Sales & Operations Planning or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the internal S&OP process and cultural transformation, connecting Divisional S&OP Directors and teams.
  • Drive the creation of comprehensive S&OP minutes and working documents to communicate key conclusions to stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership to a team of 1-2 Sales & Operations Planning Analysts, developing their expertise in S&OP.
  • Develop and maintain long-term modeling and scenario plans to anticipate capacity impacts.
  • Conduct rigorous what-if analysis to generate alternative scenarios for demand and supply.
  • Lead innovation and develop new tools and capabilities for continuous improvement in the S&OP program.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics for the S&OP team, including targeted service levels and plan savings.
  • Regularly report insights to S&OP process owners and executives, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Capture and articulate business requirements, defining KPIs for analytical projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and production capabilities.
  • Develop run strategy scenarios for converting business and align with S&OP team on financial impact.
