About The Position

The Corporate Director of Transient Sales is essential for managing and expanding high-value transient and business travel accounts for PHG's Owned and Managed Properties (Legacy and Meritage). With the increasing complexity of global travel partnerships, this role provides vital strategic direction, brand alignment, and account development to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded across the portfolio. This position serves as a critical liaison between PHG properties and key travel management companies (TMCs), global distribution partners, and major corporations including Amazon, Southwest Airlines, Apple, and others. By leveraging partnerships with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt Global Sales Organizations, this role enhances PHG's visibility and access to revenue-driving corporate business. In each destination market, the Corporate Director will collaborate with local property teams to identify and convert transient opportunities, uncover new accounts, and execute blitz strategies that align with brand standards and sales objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in national and global transient sales strategy.
  • Proven success managing corporate travel accounts and TMC partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and execute dynamic sales campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of RFP processes, rate strategy, and account forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive incremental room night production through proactive solicitation of high-volume transient accounts.
  • Strengthen PHG’s position within TMC, wholesale, and business travel segments.
  • Leverage relationships with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt to increase BT contribution to branded properties.
  • Collaborate with hotel-level sales teams to activate key national and local accounts in strategic markets.
  • Lead sales efforts for properties including AC/RI Dallas Galleria, Hotel Viata, AC New Orleans, and more.
  • Cultivate top accounts such as AMEX GBT, BCD, CTM, Amazon, and Apple Inc.
  • Serve as the ambassador for PHG’s branded properties, hosting calls and participating in RFP cycles.
  • Analyze year-over-year performance metrics using BI tools and RFP rollups to optimize strategy.
