About The Position

The Sales and Management Intern position at Buckle is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to retail management and sales. Interns will work closely with the Store Manager to understand the operations of the retail business while fulfilling the company's mission to create an enjoyable shopping experience for guests. This role involves a variety of tasks including sales generation, guest service, merchandising, and operational duties, all aimed at developing the intern's skills in management and customer relations.

Requirements

• In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field of study.
• No prior experience or training necessary.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide legendary service.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recommend and help locate merchandise based on guest needs.
• Anticipate and fulfill guest needs by suggesting additional items.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and share it with the team.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies.
• Achieve personal sales goals set by store management.
• Assist guests in trying on or fitting merchandise.
• Check out and bag purchases for guests.
• Prepare merchandise for alterations.
• Fill out and effectively use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily.
• Maintain good guest relationships to develop a client-based business.
• Recognize recruiting opportunities and maintain a positive attitude.
• Present merchandise to maximize sales and ensure proper display.
• Open and close cash registers and balance cash drawers.
• Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines and recognize security risks.
• Perform merchandising tasks and maintain a clean store environment.
• Provide feedback to management regarding merchandise handling concerns.
• Complete required sections of the Buckle Management Manual during the internship.
