About The Position

As the Sales and Distribution Center Manager (internally known as ExploreBase Manager), you will serve as a hands-on leader responsible for the strategic direction and daily success of the Picayune, Mississippi ExploreBase. You will oversee all functional departments—including sales, customer service, accounts receivable, and operations/logistics—while ensuring strong operational and financial performance, achievement of profit margins and revenue goals, and active participation in hands-on operational tasks. This includes operating equipment such as telehandlers to support safe loading and unloading of fiberglass swimming pools and related equipment. The ideal candidate is passionate about business strategy, delivering results, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and directly contributing to the operational efficiency of the distribution center.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience (swimming pool industry experience preferred, including pool products, construction, distribution, or manufacturing)
  • Proven experience operating telehandlers or similar heavy equipment, with knowledge of safety protocols and rigging
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, or related field)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans to achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets
  • Manage channel partners for business development in alignment with guidance from the CSO and National Product Manager
  • Lead, train, and motivate sales, customer service, and logistics teams to meet targets and ensure timely communication with dealers
  • Actively participate in operations, including operating telehandlers to load/unload pools using safe lifting practices with slings and cross beams
  • Oversee inventory management, security, and monthly physical counts in collaboration with the Operations Department
  • Maintain and grow key customer relationships while identifying strategic opportunities
  • Manage the annual sales and cost budgets
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Prepare and deliver timely sales and operational reports to senior management
