Job Title: Sales Analytics Analyst Location: United States Workplace Type: Remote Job Summary: The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our Sales Analytics Analyst We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Analytics Analyst to join our Distribution organization and support our rapidly expanding insurance practice. This role blends deep analytical capability with business strategy, data science methods, and exceptional data storytelling. The ideal candidate has experience within the P&C insurance industry, understands the dynamics of agent distribution, and can turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive growth. You will partner closely with Agency Relationship Managers, Recruiting & Activation, National Accounts, Product, Underwriting, and Finance to deliver the analytics, reporting, and insights that fuel optimized market coverage, agent performance, and profitable premium growth.

  • Analyze agent performance, quote-to-bind, retention, loss ratio trends, and geographic opportunity.
  • Build dashboards and self-service tools that help sales managers understand their book, spot gaps, and identify growth levers.
  • Support segmentation of agents (Platinum/Gold/Silver, growth potential, PIF size, profitability).
  • Provide insights to support agency recruiting, activation, and national account strategy.
  • Support sales leadership in building annual plans, territory optimization models, and recruiting prioritization.
  • Leverage data science techniques (predictive modeling, clustering, propensity scoring) to identify high-opportunity markets, agent behaviors, and performance drivers.
  • Conduct forecasting for new business, retention, expansion states, and agent-level growth..
  • Translate complex data into simple, compelling narratives for executives, sales leaders, and distribution teams.
  • Create visuals, dashboards, and presentations that tell a clear story and influence business decisions.
  • Communicate findings in a way that is accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Own standard weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting (GWP, NB, retention, PIF, funnel metrics).
  • Build territory scorecards, agent health dashboards, and performance alerts.
  • 3–7 years of analytics experience, ideally within P&C insurance (carrier, MGA, insurtech).
  • Strong understanding of the independent agent channel, distribution dynamics, and insurance KPIs.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics/statistical language: Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to tell a story with data—clear visuals, narrative structure, business insight.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Ownership Mindset: Actively seeks out opportunities, anticipates needs, and builds solutions proactively.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM systems used in insurance distribution.
  • Experience building predictive models or using machine learning frameworks.
  • Background working directly with sales teams, national accounts, or territory managers.
  • Pay Range: $86,300 - $120,800
  • Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location. Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
