Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or Finance 2+ years of experience in Data, Sales Operations, or Business Analytics Proficiency in Nielsen, GFK, IRI, and/or VIS highly preferred Proficiency in key sales metrics Motivated, self-starter with relentless curiosity Superior analytical, critical thinking and advanced quantitative skills Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, visualizations, and complex custom reports Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into simple to understand insights and actionable recommendations Ability to create collaborative relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization Drive for results and strong sense of urgency Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented with a track record for meeting deadlines Highly motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and bias for action Comfort with ambiguity and ability to manage various responsibilities at one time What will be your key responsibilities? Provide continual analysis of business performance with actionable insights to account team using VIS and Nielsen data and be well versed at all times on key drivers of the business Deliver ongoing promotional tracking and post promotional analysis to team Conduct analysis and prepare PowerPoint slides for internal and external presentations including, but not limited to, business reviews, line reviews and JBP’s Perform ad-hoc deep-dive analysis to uncover and explain drivers of business performance Own forecasting process and aligning with account manager on forecasts Work with account manager on new item reporting and forecasting Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide insightful explanations on the root causes of these variances Manage and continuously improve reporting capabilities and tools Create tools, new processes, mechanisms and automation to drive efficiency and improve sales Support sales team in all business operations and reporting necessary to drive the business What can you expect from Mars? Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or Finance
  • 2+ years of experience in Data, Sales Operations, or Business Analytics
  • Proficiency in key sales metrics
  • Motivated, self-starter with relentless curiosity
  • Superior analytical, critical thinking and advanced quantitative skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, visualizations, and complex custom reports
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into simple to understand insights and actionable recommendations
  • Ability to create collaborative relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization
  • Drive for results and strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver ongoing promotional tracking and post promotional analysis to team
  • Conduct analysis and prepare PowerPoint slides for internal and external presentations including, but not limited to, business reviews, line reviews and JBP’s
  • Perform ad-hoc deep-dive analysis to uncover and explain drivers of business performance
  • Own forecasting process and aligning with account manager on forecasts
  • Work with account manager on new item reporting and forecasting
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior year and provide insightful explanations on the root causes of these variances
  • Manage and continuously improve reporting capabilities and tools
  • Create tools, new processes, mechanisms and automation to drive efficiency and improve sales
