About The Position

MSCI's Analytics solutions offer institutional investors an intuitive view of risk and return by integrating award-winning risk tools and actionable risk and performance insights into investment decision processes. Built on industry-pioneering models and quality-reviewed data, our solutions aim to help you make better investment decisions and enhance your understanding and analysis of market, factor, credit, liquidity and counterparty risk across asset classes, spanning short-, medium- and long-term time horizons. We are seeking an Sales Analyst to join our Analytics Client Coverage team covering Hedge Funds and Broker Dealers in New York. In this role, you will be working very closely with our analytics coverage teams and key partners who are tasked with strategically developing and qualifying revenue opportunities within assigned accounts across our asset management segment. This is an exciting opportunity to generate and hunt for new business opportunities to fuel our growth across these segments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about finance and disruptive technology; have an eye for business and natural sales instincts; and be an eager, highly motivated, and tenacious self-starter.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in client-facing positions, preferably in the financial services or analytics/technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic combined with an enthusiastic, proactive team approach.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, communication, organization, and time management.
  • Experience working with Salesforce is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred, not required.
  • Progress toward or interest in obtaining a CFA is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Go-To-Market teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product, to drive business growth.
  • Meet quarterly goals for creating qualified business opportunities.
  • Identify and qualify new sales leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Develop and prioritize target account lists and detailed engagement strategies within your assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and present MSCI Analytics' solutions effectively.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential buyside clients.
  • Manage and update Salesforce with accurate and timely information on sales activities and opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual team sales and retention targets.
