Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience
  • Ability to work independently with manager’s supervision
  • Willingness to travel throughout territory and to periodic sales meetings
  • Knowledge of herbicides and fertilizers (dry and liquid)
  • Proficient with computers utilizing Microsoft Office and Windows applications

  • Agronomy/Agribusiness degree is preferred
  • You have solid interpersonal and teamwork skills with a positive attitude
  • You demonstrate excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • You have a detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • You’re physically able to endure outdoor climates including hot or cold weather extremes

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing and attract new customers within sales territory.
  • Assist customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs.
  • Maintain and develop profitable customer relationships.
  • Identify new key customers, understand their business, determine their needs, and work with team to develop plans and actions for sales territory growth.
  • Collaborate with team regarding sales territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Follow credit policies and manage risk for the company.
  • Work with manager to develop annual business plan that optimizes growth and profitability for the territory.
  • Implement marketing and sales plans; meet sales goals; and network with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities.
  • Become the primary customer contact regarding deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applications.

Benefits

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $51,500 - $68,710.
  • Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
