About The Position

GSW Manufacturing, Inc., an international manufacturer and technology developer serving the wiring harness industry, is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Sales Account Representative to manage and grow customer relationships while balancing strategic sales goals with day-to-day execution. [https://www.gswiring.com/] Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Sales Account Representative is responsible for building and maintaining a strong customer relationship while driving sales growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customer needs are understood and met with timely, effective solutions. You will manage accounts from initial inquiry through order fulfillment, collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, and identify opportunities to grow existing business. Additionally, you will support forecasting, pricing, and sales reporting to help drive strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in customer relations, account management, and/or equivalent role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong Analytical and negotiation skills, with a solid understanding of pricing contracts, financial analysis, and dead stock/phase-out management.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to manage direct customers interactions and negotiations.
  • Confident public speaking and presentation abilities, with experience leading meetings and communicating project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, sales forecasting tools, and customer/supplier portal platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for internal, customer, and supplier needs, including international travel.
  • Commitment to professional integrity and strict confidentiality of company information.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and sales data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Tier 1 automotive industry.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret wire harness and terminal blueprints, or willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of cost account principles.
  • Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental standards.
  • Experience supporting RFQs, pricing models, or product realization/VAVE activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • RFQ Management: Manage and coordinate request for quotation (RFQ) process, including customer communications, internal documentation, pricing analysis, ROI evaluations, cooper/yen adjustments, and follow-ups. Lead RFQ status meetings as required.
  • Customer Support & Product Realization: Support product realization and VAVE meetings for assigned customers. Maintain, distribute, and track pertinent meeting notes and action items.
  • Customer Visits & Negotiations: Conduct customer visits to negotiate pricing, tooling costs, project milestones/timelines, and other business matters as directed by management.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding customer product plans, market conditions, and industry trends.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead discussions to clarify customer-specific requirements and align expectations with internal teams including engineering, purchasing, production, and management.
  • Visit Planning & Reporting: Prepare customer visit itineraries and objectives and share detailed visits summaries and notes with the management team upon completion.
  • Pricing & Phase-Out Management: Negotiate phase-out dates, pricing adjustments, and cost changes with customers, resolving dead stock issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Sales Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop and maintain customer sales forecasts, budgets, and material price list to support planning and decision making.
  • Account Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely communication, issue resolution, and overall customer satisfaction.
