If you’re interested in combining your passion for high school sports, with your successful track record in media or sponsorship sales, this role may be for you. GPB’s Football Fridays in Georgia, Football Playoffs, and Championships broadcasts deliver the largest High School football audience in the state, and you can be a part of the action! We are seeking a High School Sports Account Manager to grow a large base of well-established corporate sponsors, with exponential opportunity to develop and unlock new untapped sponsorship revenue from categories such as automotive, healthcare, grocery, dining, HVAC, trades, telecom, sporting goods, and more. The successful candidate is one who can interface with senior executives and agencies, think creatively about the application of GPB Sports assets (including digital/streaming) to develop custom tailored solutions that meet sponsor objectives, close deals, and execute high-level integrated marketing partnerships flawlessly. Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • 3 + years of media, digital, and/or sponsorship sales experience
  • Proven track record selling 850K -1M+ annually in past three years
  • Self-motivated with high energy sales drive and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proven track record of closing business by building quality client relationships
  • Creativity to structure mutually beneficial deals
  • Excellent, proven cold call skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency all Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work Friday evenings 6pm-8:30pm during football season and GHSA State High School Football Championships
  • Team player – collaborate with Account Manager counterparts calling on same accounts who are developing non-sports proposals for GBP Radio, TV, Digital, Print
  • Attention to detail – accomplishes tasks thoroughly and efficiently and has strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow large base of existing GPB Sport sponsors
  • Proactively prospect, research, identify and close new sponsorship opportunities with new partners to achieve annual revenue targets.
  • Use cold calls, social selling, and professional networking developing Valid Business Reasons (VBRs) to generate new prospects
  • Develop compelling customized sponsorship proposals tailored to meet sponsor marketing objectives
  • Identify new ways of generating incremental revenue
  • Achieve annual revenue goal and key sales objectives
  • Responsible for communicating particulars of all partnership benefits including deadlines, approval processes, specs, and other relevant logistics.
  • Coordinate implementation of campaign elements – Digital, Television, Billboards, Custom Sponsorship Features, Championships Activation
  • Audit client benefits and execute on a timely and effective basis.
  • Work with internal and external parties, to execute partnership benefits and protect partner exclusivities.
  • Analyze research findings and identifies activation concepts that align with the brand, support partners’ marketing objectives and drive business results
