About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced Service Sales/Project Manager position to generate new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients within our Houston Office. This role involves identifying customer needs, presenting tailored fire sprinkler solutions, and closing sales in a professional and consultative manner. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of fire protection systems, a customer-focused mindset, and strong project management skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in sales preferably in the fire sprinkler industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAD design.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract document review, including thorough understanding of reading blueprints and specification review.
  • Ability to read and analyze building construction documents.
  • Previous experience in the Project Management field preferred.
  • FAL/APS or NICET Certification preferred.
  • FEL-A/FPL or NICET Certification preferred.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • MS Office (Word & Excel) experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current regional marketplace and competitors, and develop sales strategies, appropriate margins, and overall sales goals.
  • Build relationships with customers to capture a full range of fire protection services including fire sprinkler installation, fire alarm and suppression installations, as well as repair and inspection of existing systems.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, stay abreast of new products, technical data, and market trends.
  • Prepare cost estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of construction documents such as drawings, specifications, and sub-contract agreements.
  • Prepare fire protection shop drawings, specifications, equipment submittals and computer calculations as needed for compliance with applicable fire protection codes.
  • Read, interpret, and apply technical design requirements of fire protection codes, manufacturer’s technical data, building codes, insurer criteria, and other applicable documents.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines.
  • Maintain contract documents and ensure change orders are processed in a timely fashion.
  • Make routine site visits during the installation phase to evaluate overall project performance and safety.
  • Submit the required documentation for project closeout.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
