About The Position

The Sales Account Manager – Key Accounts is responsible for managing and growing strategic retail partnerships, including TJX Canada (Live Comfortably & Simply Interior Homes) and Costco Canada (E-comm window for Simply Interior Homes). This role combines sales leadership, account management, and project coordination to deliver tailored solutions, ensure operational accuracy, and drive revenue growth. The position serves as the primary liaison between customers and internal product, planning, and production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept through shipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in sales, account management, product management, or project management within a retail, wholesale, or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts while coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and revenue objectives
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, pricing strategy, quoting, and order execution processes
  • Proven ability to negotiate terms, present solutions, and drive sales growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the home textiles industry strongly preferred
  • Experience working with major retail accounts, including TJX, Costco, or other national retailers
  • Prior experience supporting or managing off-price retail accounts highly preferred
  • Background in product development and/or product management within a consumer goods environment
  • Familiarity with costing models, supply chain coordination, and direct import (DI) processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel preferred), CRM systems, and sales/project management tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, forecast trends, and provide actionable business insights

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding customer needs to deliver customized solutions
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all TJX Canada buyers and merchandisers
  • Present solutions, negotiate pricing and terms, and close business to meet or exceed established sales quotas
  • Create and maintain all TJX Canada quote sheets; communicate SP or cost changes to product teams to ensure accurate cost sheets
  • Vet all TJX Canada purchase orders (pricing, SKUs, ship dates, terms) and distribute to appropriate product teams and/or factories
  • Order TJX Canada price tickets as required and confirm timely receipt at Softtex
  • Monitor and manage all TJX Canada orders (domestic and direct import), ensuring on-time shipment and proactively communicating delays or issues
  • Collaborate closely with planners to ensure product flow accuracy and realistic forecasting aligned with budgets
  • Review and approve Simply Interior Homes production samples to ensure quality and client compliance
  • Support or lead product development initiatives aligned with TJX Canada needs and strategic goals
  • Execute initiatives and action items established during sales meetings and drive projects through completion
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively demonstrate value and address customer inquiries
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as required to support sales and operational objectives
