About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for building long-term, value-based relationships with our accounts, focusing on penetrating these accounts for further business opportunities while improving the margins they create. Your efforts will also aim to reduce the time and costs associated with managing these accounts, ensuring a streamlined and efficient process. As a Sales Account Manager, you will improve Univar's position within each account through consultative and in-depth selling techniques at all levels. You will actively prospect for new business by conducting sales calls, which will help grow the size of your territory. Customer retention and overall satisfaction will be a primary focus, and you will provide technical support and consulting services to enhance our value to customers. Maintaining a clear and updated view of your sales pipeline will be essential, as will setting pricing and service levels. You will also coordinate with local sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained, all while demonstrating a commitment to safety for yourself and your colleagues. This position is home-based, covering accounts in the Central region of the US, and we prefer candidates who are located in this area.
