About the position

KDDI America is seeking a seasoned sales executive to drive customer acquisition and manage key accounts. The role involves determining and creating annual budgets, sales and gross-profit plans, and implementing marketing strategies while analyzing trends and their results. The successful candidate will establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the business unit, while projecting expected sales volumes and profits for existing and new products. The position requires maintaining sales volumes, product mixes, and selling prices by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. The sales executive will also be responsible for completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, and following up on work results.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and soliciting new business and driving customer acquisition for KDDI America.
  • Qualifying prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales.
  • Understanding and articulating the KDDI America value proposition, key differentiators, and competitive positioning to prospects including C-level executives.
  • Identifying and qualifying business opportunities to sell product and service-based IT solutions.
  • Cultivating long-term relationships and building trust with C-level executives and key decision makers.
  • Leveraging industry trends to create compelling value propositions to address client's needs.
  • Proactively managing day-to-day client needs and reporting progress to the Director of Sales.
  • Staying up to date on the latest technology initiatives and solutions.
  • Managing complex enterprise network accounts involving network infrastructure and custom applications.
  • Carrying out consultative selling, account planning, and account management with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Synthesizing abstract concepts into solutions.
  • Working closely with Project Management and Operations in pre-sale and post-sale activities.
  • Providing timely and accurate sales forecasting information and performing pipeline health management.
  • Focusing on target attainment and conducting all necessary activities required to meet sales targets.
  • Representing the company and its brand in the marketplace with professionalism and integrity.
  • Recommending changes to current sales techniques and/or procedures based on team performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience required.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant job experience with similar essential duties.
  • Proven sales executive experience with the ability to meet and exceed established targets.
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, and/or sales and marketing manager.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing stages.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills: managing one's own time and the time of others.

  • MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
