The main role of the Sailing Instructor is to create memorable experiences for residents and guests by teaching sailing tutorials within our community.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Excellent people skills with an upbeat personality
• High degree of customer service and effective communication skills
• Flexibility to work a seasonal schedule, May - August
• Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new tasks
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
• Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
• Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and offering sailing instruction
• Preparing classes that adapt to the needs and levels of all attendees
• Creating sailing schedules
• Setting up the sailing area and preparing boats and daily activities
• Ensuring sailing equipment is safe and well maintained
• Coordinating any needed repairs
• Assisting with training programs, light operations, and maintenance duties
• Helping to facilitate community events on the lake
