About The Position

Safety Technician (H2S Technician) We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Technician / H2S Technician to join our safety team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel and compliance with industry safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant safety certifications preferred (e.g., H2S Alive, First Aid/CPR).
Proven experience in safety roles, preferably in industrial, oil and gas, or construction environments.
Knowledge of H2S detection, safety equipment, and emergency response procedures.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in various outdoor and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor and manage H2S levels in work environments, utilizing appropriate detection and alarm systems.
Perform safety training sessions for employees on hazard recognition, emergency response, and proper use of safety equipment.
Assist in the development and implementation of safety procedures and protocols.
Respond promptly to safety incidents, accidents, or emergencies, providing support and documentation.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of safety equipment and supplies.
Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture across the organization.
