About The Position

As an intern at MasterBrand, you will play a supportive role in all aspects of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Programs. This includes maintaining the EHS e-file structure and assisting with various safety initiatives. You will face authentic business challenges, craft scalable solutions, and make a real impact in a leading North American residential cabinet business.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a safety-related role or internship.
• Familiarity with EHS programs and practices.
• Certification in first aid or CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing all corrective actions.
• Coordinate annual hearing conservation training and testing for all affected team members.
• Manage the eyewear program and keep track of all participants.
• Issue light duty dust masks and have team members sign the appendix D form.
• Support Hazard Communication program with chemical inventory and SDS audit.
• Conduct training as required, including PIT classroom and practical evaluation.
• Perform basic first aid and initiate emergency services when needed.
• Verify AIC entries are complete and accurate.
• Assist with incident investigation to determine root causes and contributing factors.
• Perform daily inspections and spend approximately 70% of your time on the floor.
• Serve as the Chairperson for the Safety Committee and complete at least one project per quarter.
• Manage hazardous/universal waste shipments and storage area inspections.
• Collect Always Aware Audits and maintain information for review with the Safety Committee.
