About The Position

Manage the general safety and loss control policies and procedures of the organization for auto, worker’s compensation, and general liability claims. Monitor and evaluate the workplace to ensure compliance with OSHA regulatory standards. Design and direct safety training programs to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Assist with developing worker plans and policies for new employee safety orientation including skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment. Study, identify, and report causes of past accidents and develop recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrences. Partner with Senior, Regional, and Branch leadership to address accident issues and develop business solutions to prevent recurrences. Monitor and track safety metrics to evaluate program performance and prepare routine reports for management insight. Travel to all Company locations to conduct 360-degree Safety inspections. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a Safety/Occupational Hazard related position.
  • Knowledge of Safety/Occupational Hazard field.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, and other related Federal & State laws.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office.

  • Avetta Knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in occupational safety and health or related degree or 3 years of Safety/Occupational Hazard work experience.
