The Safety Supervisor oversees environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and safety programs. Functions as the environmental representative responsible for oversight of waste minimization, waste reduction, hazardous waste management, pollution prevention, permit/regulatory compliance, and may include approval authority for all hazardous material requests. Other duties include: Acts as a representative for the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) program. Reviews and provide guidance for the Hazardous Materials Reduction Prioritization Process and ozone depleting substances (ODS). Reviews ESOH initiatives and projects. Conducts safety and environmental inspections, audits, and surveys. Reviews and provide guidance for corrective actions for all inspections, audits, and surveys. Assists in the development of environmental policies and directives. Understands and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws. Conducts opportunity assessments identifying hazardous waste materials reduction prioritization opportunities. Analyze and justify the money needed for projects. Supports the company Environmental, Health and Safety Training Program. May perform classroom training on safety, hazardous waste management, pollution prevention, industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental protection, and related subjects. Oversee the site environmental and safety program. Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times. Promotes company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Ensures professional coordination with Operations and subcontractors. Performs other qualified duties as assigned.
