About The Position

As a Safety Supervisor in the Oil & Energy industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors working on-site. In this fast-paced and often hazardous environment, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety protocols and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct safety audits, inspections, and training programs to foster a culture of safety and compliance across all levels of the organization. Your expertise will be vital in identifying potential hazards, analyzing risk assessments, and proactively addressing safety concerns before they lead to incidents. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel, you will provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure that safety measures are effectively integrated into the daily operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate safety records and reports, as well as coordinating emergency response drills to prepare employees for potential emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape governing the oil and energy sector. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in safety management within the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards related to safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse workforce.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience in training and mentoring team members on safety protocols.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools for tracking incidents and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards on-site.
  • Lead safety training programs for all employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and field personnel to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, and training sessions for compliance reporting.
