The Safety Supervisor must be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements. The Safety Supervisor will handle a broad range of responsibilities including development and implementation of written programs, training of employees and contractors (including orientation, annual training), auditing for adherence to policies & procedures, etc. Maintain compliance with all corporate programs, as well as all Federal, State and local regulations. Prepare for, coordinate and participate in audits and investigations as well as recommending corrective action. The primary function of the Safety Supervisor is to assist with protecting the safety of all personnel on the work site. The company meets this goal by maintaining the highest standards for both the employees and the equipment. The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for guiding Grupo Bimbo Safety model to achieve their goals. This person will be an ambassador of the safety & wellness culture, as such, they must be comfortable with flexibility and outside-the-box thinking and problem solving, while possessing a positive attitude to face and manage change, perform as a leader while motivating others, and understand and support safety department and other departments through servant leadership. Likewise, they must be very comfortable with public speaking, challenge the status quo, and presenting. This role will implement Safety culture in the management and associates, perform risk assessments, implement safety guidelines and comply with all OSHA, local and state regulations. This person should be an example of the safety culture to others, collaborate with all departments, be consumer-oriented, find new ways of working and adapt easily to changes.
