About The Position

Milo's Tea Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to implement the compliance aspect of People Based Safety in each manufacturing facility. The safety specialist will utilize proactive safety techniques to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and involves coordinating safety training, conducting inspections, and participating in safety committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree required.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant full-time work experience or a relevant combination of both.
• Direct training experience is highly desirable.
• Strong process orientation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead group discussions and build knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills and computer proficiency in MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee safety training with Operations management.
• Conduct daily safety and health walk-through inspections of workplace facilities.
• Implement and facilitate proactive and compliance safety training plans and content objectives.
• Complete facility inspections and participate in producing corrective actions.
• Participate in the completion of job hazard analysis.
• Develop and evaluate eight step procedures for energy control.
• Serve as coordinator for the Safety Committee.
• Prepare injury/illness and noninjury incident investigation reports and follow up as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as necessary.
