About The Position

Primary Purpose: This position is responsible for providing EHS support to LNG, RNG, AND GTE operating organizations. Position level commensurate with experience and skill sets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Promote the Company's EHS philosophy and culture.Assist in continued implementation of and adherence to the Company's EHS Management Plan.Assist operations with Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR).Work with field personnel to identify solutions to arising EHS issues and audit findings.Assist operations in Risk Management and Incident Investigation processes including facilitating root cause analysis of reported incidents, near misses, injury, or vehicle collision.Promote Behavior Based Safety principles.Maintain safety equipment in proper working order and coordinate required inspections, maintenance, calibration/testing, and replacement as required.Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance review policies and procedures.Develop, coordinate, and conduct EHS-related training.Participate in Emergency Response planning, preparation and efforts.Provide support for DOT CDL operations regarding compliance, inspections, etc.Provide support for operations with damage prevention activities per Kinder Morgan procedures/policiesParticipate in corporate Technical Work Groups, as appropriate.Will carry a company-provided cell phone/pager and respond during working and non-working hours.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Provide support to assets across the Mid-West with a Central Location of Indianapolis, IN

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, however, a Bachelor's degree in an EHS discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety for oil and LNG/natural gas production operations, or 7 yexperience in oil and gas production operations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet Company insurability requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills and use of applicable computer applications such as MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Accurately and promptly loads and verifies data and generates reports based on standard procedures.
  • Demonstrates a highly competent working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required of the job function.
  • Ability to apply extensive knowledge and experience to a wide variety of situations and recommend solutions and improvements.
  • Typically viewed as a technical expert and/or leader in safety.
  • Works independently to perform more complex analysis.
  • Monitors new technologies and draws upon expertise to make recommendations for further exploitation of existing technologies.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced EHS specialists/technicians and/or other co-workers.
  • Generates and completes efficiency/improvement projects.
  • Ability to work with others, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules

  • Mixture of field, plant and office work locations
  • Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed
  • Day and potential Overnight trips to assets as required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certification desired
  • College degree or OSHA Certification
  • 5 + years of EHS experience in LNG or natural gas
  • 5+ years oil/gas experience in operations
  • Special projects as required
