About The Position

Now Hiring: Onsite Safety Specialist Join a team committed to protecting people and strengthening workplace safety. As a Safety Specialist, you’ll support training, compliance, and industrial hygiene efforts across the organization—helping create safer environments and empowering employees to work confidently and responsibly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Control, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing or a similar environment
  • OSHA 10/30 training completed or willingness to obtain
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools
  • Independent, self‑directed work style with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to engage employees at all levels and navigate sensitive situations with professionalism
  • The position requires the ability to team-lift, load and carry items weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and support safety training on equipment use, fall protection, LOTO, forklifts, cranes, PPE, and more
  • Facilitate industrial hygiene activities including sampling, noise monitoring, and hazard assessments
  • Lead key safety programs such as PPE assessments, confined space evaluations, EAP reviews, and LOTO audits
  • Conduct hands‑on orientations for new and current employees in critical safety practices
  • Perform audits and evaluations of equipment, work areas, and processes, recommending improvements
  • Support safety committees and events while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and company regulations
  • Strengthen safety culture by partnering with managers and supervisors to improve working conditions
  • Develop Job Safety Analyses and contribute to updated safety documents, forms, and procedures
  • Promote employee advocacy by helping identify risks and championing safer work practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality in all safety‑related matters
  • Represent the company professionally across plants, meetings, and training sessions
