HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Chicago, IL to support our growing commercial construction projects. Requirements
- CHST required
- 5+ years of construction safety experience, including concrete construction (high-rise/hotel experience preferred)
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR required
- Strong knowledge of fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Crane and rigging experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction projects ensuring OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Inspect power tools and heavy equipment
