The Safety Specialist position at NetJets Aviation, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Voluntary Safety Reporting Programs and the Director of Aviation Safety in executing the comprehensive NetJets Safety Program. This position is integral to ensuring the safety of flight, dispatch, and maintenance operations by reviewing, evaluating, and processing safety reports. The Safety Specialist will analyze data, assess risks, and make informed recommendations aimed at minimizing risks associated with NetJets operations. In this role, the Safety Specialist will evaluate and analyze safety reports submitted to various Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP) managed by NJA. This includes investigating issues raised in safety reports, making recommendations to management regarding policy and procedural changes to enhance safety, and collecting and analyzing maintenance records and fatigue assessments to identify potential safety enhancements. The Specialist will also represent NJA as a member of the ASAP Event Review Committee (ERC) on a rotating basis, administering corrective actions in response to ERC findings. Additionally, the Safety Specialist will participate in or conduct research into irregular events occurring during NJA flight operations, analyze trend data within the NetJets Safety Program, and track safety recommendations and corrective actions to ensure their effectiveness. The role also involves contributing to the production of Safety Alerts and the NetJets Aviation Safety Newsletters, acting as a conduit for safety information between management and NJA employees.
