What You'll Do As a SMART Safety Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring safety standards not only meet but exceed expectations-both for our clients and for SMART.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Health & Safety within construction, contracting (mechanical, electrical, drywall, roofing, etc.), manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Technical or undergraduate degree preferred (but not required).
  • OSHA 500, OSHA 501, CSP, ASP, GSP, COSS, CHST, etc. (preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, positive, and a proactive problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Plan : Design, schedule, and oversee safety functions at assigned job sites to deliver results beyond client expectations.
  • Monitor & Improve : Conduct site safety audits, trainings, and investigations to build a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Respond & Report : Investigate job site incidents, provide accurate reports, and ensure timely communication with clients and leadership.
  • Train & Empower : Deliver engaging safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and general health and safety programs.
  • Ensure Compliance : Keep teams aligned with Federal, State, and Local regulations while meeting client program requirements.
  • Drive Accountability : Maintain precise records, documentation, and safety reports that showcase measurable results.
