About The Position

Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to assist in providing Owners/guests with memorable vacation experiences. This is a seasonal, full-time position on the 1st shift. The role involves contributing to a supportive, friendly, and beautiful work environment where meaningful moments are made together. MVW is a leading global vacation company with over 20,000 associates worldwide, operating 7 iconic brands and approximately 120 vacation ownership resorts, serving over 700,000 Owner families with a 90%+ guest satisfaction score. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License is Required
  • Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull items that weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.
  • Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment (e.g., flashlight, high visibility jacket).
  • Administer first aid/CPR to Owner/guests or associates as required.
  • Ensure Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist Owner/guests with room access.
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
  • Respond to the scene of Owner/guest or associate accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
  • Defuse Owner/guest or associate disturbances/altercations following company policies and procedures.
  • Handle lost and found, logging and returning items.
  • Utilize computer systems, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; and answer the phone using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Oversee OSHA & FLS violations to mitigate risks throughout the property.
  • Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
  • Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
  • Contribute to team goals.
  • Always follow company policies and safety procedures.
