About The Position
As a Security Officer, you patrol and protect the facility, grounds and building to preserve the peace and make employees feel safe and secure.
Requirements
- NYS Security Guard Act License (OR) Registered as a Police or Peace Officer in NYS and required to obtain NYS Security Guard Act License within 3 months of hire
- Valid NYS Driver’s license
- CPR certification New hires or obtain within 3 months of hire
- Preventing Managing Crisis Situation Training (PMCS) certification or obtain within 3 months of hire
- One year of guard or public safety experience required

Responsibilities
- Investigate cases of detected or reported criminal and safety matters
- Identify and report real or potential hazards in the environment
- Transfer and discharge patients as requested
- Monitor and control hospital employee and visitor parking areas
